Tom Whittaker was born in Aldershot in 1898.His Father was a Sergeant Major in the 12th Lancers. He went to live in Newcastle at the age of three and was raised a Geordie. He joined Arsenal on 10th January 1920. He was involed with them for 37 years. A great servant.The source of this info.is from a Book I bought back in 1958,Tom Whittaker's Arsenal Story.
