My comments

From the 1971 FA Cup Final programme:

With his career total exceeding 300 games he has played more times for Arsenal than anyone on the present staff, bringing non-stop effort and bubbling enthusiasm to their attack. Arrived at Highbury ten years ago (August 1961) as inside-forward on trial from North-east and was signed on spot. Apart from missing part of last season has been first-team regular for eight years. Five England Under-23 caps.
