Played two European Championship qualifying games (against Portugal and Belgium) for Scotland in the autumn of 1971.
The taxi driver to the Scotland game the other day claimed to be Alex Cropley - I wouldn't know either way. He said he played for Scotland in the Nations Cup in the 70's. I'm trying to find a picture of him to confirm it. Hope this helps.
He is a taxi driver in Edinburgh. He gave me a lift to physio while I was recovering from a football injury. He told me about his injuries, his career and then I worked out he he is.
