Like many other sites with George's potted history, you have his amateur club down as Clapham. In fact it was CLAPTON, who played at the 'Spotted Dog' in East London (now fixed – editor's note).
I am George's nephew, and I'm in fairly regular contact with his son Michael who lives in Canada. If there are any specific pieces of information you may wish to ask for regarding George, then please ask and I will try to find out from Michael.
George captained England 6 times during his 19 caps, and won 3 consecutive League Championship Winners medals - now displayed in Highbury Museum
