My comments
From the 1971 FA Cup Final programme:
Arsenal's captain and centre-back today makes his fifth Cup Final appearance
at Wembley and is overdue a change of luck after being in the losing Leicester
teams of 1961 and 1963 and in Arsenal's beaten League Cup Final sides of 1968
and 1969. Ended one Final jinx last season, though, when skippering Arsenal
to Fairs Cup triumph. Recently completed 300 first-team games for Arsenal,
who signed him from Leicester for £80,000 in October 1964. Five caps
for Scotland.
