I am now in my 70s but remain a great fan of Laurie Scott. I watched him play for Arsenal many times in the late 1940s and even saw him play once for England v Switzerland in a "Victory International" at Stamford Bridge. After he retired I was fortunate enough to meet him and his wife Gerrie. They came to my home for dinner. He was manager at, if memory serves, Crystal Palace at the time. I used to play right back myself for my local team and tried to emulate Laurie. I like your website - a fine tribute to a great player and a very charming man.
