My comments
From the 1971 FA Cup Final programme:
Arsenal's presence at Wembley today is largely attributable to him, with
the two goals he scored to save the semi-final after Stoke led 2–0.
The last-minute penalty showed the ice-cool temperament of this powerful
midfield man who played right-back here in League Cup Finals of 1968 and
1969. An Arsenal "regular" for six seasons, he is approaching his 300th
senior appearance. Signed apprentice just ten years ago, professional
since September 1962.
