Arsenal's presence at Wembley today is largely attributable to him, with the two goals he scored to save the semi-final after Stoke led 2–0. The last-minute penalty showed the ice-cool temperament of this powerful midfield man who played right-back here in League Cup Finals of 1968 and 1969.
